Making Sense of Money

Making Sense of Money *
Many of us were never taught how money actually works, only that we should already know everything we need to thrive.
When the financial path is unclear, we stumble, and around money mistakes, shame and self-doubt often fill the spaces where education, consistency, and care would serve us better.
Financial Education Workshops and Clarity Coaching with Illuminated Insights are designed to shine a light on the financial trail. Sessions focus on education, mindset, and practical next steps, not investment, tax, or legal advice. Your initial Clarity Session begins with a short survey to understand what you (or your group) want to learn so the material is relevant and useful from the start.
Rather than jargon, pressure, or one-size-fits-all advice, you’ll learn how everyday financial systems work: budgeting, debt, credit, benefits, and planning, while also exploring mindset and behaviors around finances. The goal is simple: replace uncertainty with understanding to empower you to move forward with steadiness and confidence.

Using a project-based learning approach, we will begin where you are. Together you and I will look at your current situation, habits, and mindset around money, and start building practical skills you can immediately use. Rather than telling you what to do, I teach you how to think through financial decisions, rather than react, so you can move with clarity, intention, and agency as you navigate an unfamiliar landscape beneath your feet. - Amanda

Make Sense of Right Now
If you’re unsure where to start, that’s okay! Most people are.
A 1:1 Financial Clarity Session can be a place to make sense right now by slowing down, asking questions, and understanding what’s happening in your financial life without judgment or pressure.
You don’t need spreadsheets, receipts, to have made a mistake, or have a plan already in place. Just bring your questions and your real life.
Together we’ll discover what might feel confusing, identify what matters most to you right now, and outline the next practical step you can take.
Whether you’re facing a decision, overwhelmed by your options, or just want steadier footing, our first meeting will help you understand yourself and see your options more clearly so you can move forward with confidence.
I believe there is no such thing as a bad question, and often the most helpful questions are the ones we never ask, because we think someone will judge us. I don’t promise to always have an answer, but I do promise to be a down-to-earth, confidential resource for you to explore one of our world’s most misunderstood and powerful tools, free of shame or judgement.
